As a Senior Product Manager at GlossGenius, what core problems do you focus on solving for our beauty and wellness professionals, and what unique perspective do you bring to defining the product roadmap?

As a product manager in GlossGenius’ Expansion vertical, I focus on unlocking new markets, new revenue channels, and new growth opportunities for our customers and our business. Everyday I obsess about one question: how do we help businesses make more money? Our approach to doing so starts with empathizing with our customers’ daily pain points, testing solutions fast via scrappy proof-of-concepts, and building even faster once we identify what works.

Can you describe a specific product or feature launch you led that you are especially proud of? 

I led GlossGenius’s initiative to become HIPAA compliant, a company-wide effort that required every org to rethink how we handle sensitive health information. By instilling both urgency and thoroughness, we launched HIPAA compliance two months ahead of schedule – faster than anyone thought possible. This not only unlocked a new customer market for our company, but now medical professionals who have been historically underserved by clunky, legacy software can benefit from the seamless innovation of GlossGenius.

What are you most excited to build, solve, or see come to life at GlossGenius this year that you believe will fundamentally change how beauty and wellness professionals run their businesses?

One project I am excited to see in the hands of our customers is our 0 to 1 wholesale marketplace. Today, beauty and wellness professionals juggle an average of five or more different channels to stock the supplies they need for their business. Our first-in-the-industry marketplace centralizes multiple vendors, integrates with GlossGenius business workflows, and offers predictive inventory suggestions – helping professionals spend less time and money on business admin and spend it growing instead.

AI has been the major talking point in tech. How has the rise of these new tools and capabilities changed your day-to-day workflow, and what are the biggest new efficiencies you've gained as a Product Manager?

AI has transformed every part of the product workflow. When identifying problems, I use AI to synthesize customer interviews and uncover deeper patterns in data. When crafting briefs, AI helps me tailor narratives that resonate with different stakeholder audiences. And when designing solutions, I code lightweight prototypes with AI that make ideas tangible and spark deeper collaboration with design and engineering. These tools have dramatically shortened the distance between insight, idea, and action.

AI isn’t just changing how we build – it’s also changing what we can build. With innovation moving at this pace, roadmaps that extend too far into the future risk becoming obsolete within months. Staying attuned to emerging technologies is more important than ever, allowing us to move faster, experiment smarter, and deliver better solutions for our customers.

What's your vision for how AI will strategically influence our product roadmap and drive new feature development for our users?

Many beauty and wellness professionals are artists first and business owners second. AI-first features will power their business and give them time back to their craft. By generating strategic business insights and agents that can then act on it, GlossGenius’ AI toolset will guide them to make smarter decisions, save time, and grow their businesses more effectively than ever.

What initially drew you to join GlossGenius, and what has been the most unique or defining aspect of the company culture that has kept you here for 2.5 years? 

I joined GlossGenius for the people I work with and the customers we serve. Here, we share a common set of values while bringing unique expertises to how we achieve them. One of our deepest values is customer centricity; our product is central to the livelihoods of the professionals we support. I’m inspired by our mission and pushed to grow by the colleagues I work with every day to achieve it.

How has your role and leadership style evolved during this time, and what is the most significant skill you've sharpened that has contributed to your success?

I first joined GlossGenius in a strategy role, but at GlossGenius, strategy doesn’t end in a deck – you roll up your sleeves and execute it. When an idea I had been working on was greenlit, I pivoted into a product role to build it. Building and leading 0-to-1 initiatives has sharpened my ability to see the forest through the trees: every detail matters for excellence, but stepping back to see the bigger picture is essential to motivate the team and drive meaningful impact.

What’s something about you that your coworkers might be surprised to learn?

I have a collection of over 300 vinyls! My collection ranges from hip hop to classic rock, including the entire discography of The Beatles.
